Dog Licenses

Dog licenses expire on DECEMBER 31 each year.

Dog licenses can be obtained at the Town Hall, 4020 Technology Parkway

Dog licenses can be obtained when making your in-person tax payments, however, you must pay with a separate check. Dog licenses processed through the mail will require a rabies vaccination and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Your rabies certificate will be returned to you. The rabies vaccination document must include an expiration date, serial number, and manufacturer name.

Fees for dog licenses are $20 for unaltered dogs or $10 for neutered or spayed dogs.

Wisconsin Statutes (Sections 95.21(2), 174.05, and 174.07(1)(b)) require all dogs that are 5 (five) months of age or older to be licensed. The owner of the dog must obtain a license annually prior to April 1st, or on or before the date the dog becomes 5 (five) months of age.

Evidence that the dog is currently immunized against rabies must be presented before a license can be issued.

Failure to obtain a license prior to the April 1st deadline may result in a late fee. The late fee is $20.

A dog license may NOT be transferred from one dog to another.
